2017 Alzheimer's Disease International Conference:

Following the Poster Presentation at the 2016 Alzheimer's Association International Conference in Toronto, Liza came together with a group of international and cross disciplinary young researchers and proposed a panel session entitled: "Interdisciplinary perspectives: Young investigators on the road to a holistic approach to dementia prevention and care." We'll be presenting our collaborative work at the 2017 Alzheimer's Disease International conference in Kyoto, Japan.

DementiaHack 2017:

Driven by a conviction that it is only when we are inspired and empowered that we can care and care better for ourselves and for those who need our caring, I founded ArtsForDementia.com – which aims to translate the knowledge I acquire through my Doctoral research and put it to practice in the community by aggregating and mapping arts-based content and activities from all over the world and inspiring people to take an initiative and champion activities and projects in their local communities world wide.

Team JUST DEMENTIA is going to develop the prototype for Arts For Dementia Social Portal, Database and Mobile App and is *COMPETING TO WIN* at Dementia Hack 2017 to be held the weekend of 4-5 March, 2017 at MaRS Discovery District in Toronto, Canada.

Alzheimer's Association International Conference:

We were honoured to present a poster of Arts For Dementia at the 2016 Alzheimer's Association International Conference in Toronto. AAIC is the largest international meeting dedicated to advancing dementia science. Each year, AAIC unites the world’s leading researchers, next generation investigators, clinicians and the care research community to share discoveries in basic and translational research that will lead to methods of prevention and treatment, and improvements in diagnosis for Alzheimer’s disease and other dementias.
